We are a local, growing company looking to hire Master Level Diesel Mechanics and mechanically inclined individuals ready to be trained. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity to join a dedicated maintenance team.

As a Diesel Mechanic, you’ll perform preventative and routine maintenance on both off-highway and on-highway equipment. A solid understanding of engines, electrical systems, and mechanical components is essential for experienced candidates.

SCHEDULE:

• 1:30PM-10PM

PAY:

• Wages based on skill set and training.
• $28/hr DOE

DUTIES:

• Follow a checklist of inspection procedures
• Test drive vehicles to diagnose malfunctions, and make necessary repairs.
• Raise trucks, and heavy parts or equipment by using hydraulic jacks or hoists
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles
• Do routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts
• Adjust and align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and attach system components
• Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment
• Test-drive vehicles to ensure that they run smoothly
• Maintain accurate records and follow fleet pm maintenance.
• Routine preventative maintenance, which should include oil changes, brake and tire work

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
• Basic tools, required
• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive diesel
• Advanced skilled level repairs to include some major engine repairs, diesel after treatment or automotive fuel injection repairs, required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must have minimum tool requirement
• Must have good motor vehicle record.
• Must road test vehicles as necessary
• 1-4 years or more Relevant work experience, preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred or willingness to obtain
• Clean driving record required
• All other certification as required by location, required
